A Plus?!

The announcement of the new Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-shot Plus edition shouldn’t be left out of the field. According to Sony Ericsson’s UK site the C905 Plus comes bundled with a 8GB M2 card. It has also got some new features, such as, the Smile Shutter and YouTube integration, but these are available for the C905 through software update and C905 sold after March 09 anyway.

The bottom line is that if you have a C905 in your pocket already, the new version has very little to offer to you indeed. Then again, if you still haven’t got one, but you chomping at the bit to join the Sony Ericsson´s family :D , the Plus edition looks like a decent option.

On a side thought, man, what's up with C905 Plus? It's even bundled with a 8GB M2 Memory Card :( Why not just bundled it along the first time around?

Of Explorations and Directions

Ordered a new pair of secondary spectacles today :D Would post a picture once it's ready.

Took a personality today out of boredom.

You are an EXPLORER / director

You are a skywalker. You love adventure, both intellectual and physical. And you greet new challenges with passion and bravery.

When you get interested in a project, you can become extremely focused on it, sometimes to the exclusion of all around you. You complete it carefully and thoroughly, often with great originality.

And because you have a lot of energy and tend to be enthusiastic about your ideas, inventions, and projects, you can be very persuasive.

You tend to like to collect things, experiences or ideas. And you are eager to make an impact on those around you, as well as the wider world.

Although you enjoy people and can be charming and humorous, you are not very interested in routine social engagements or boring people. You are comfortable being by yourself, pursuing your own interests.

People probably call you a non-conformist, an original. You like to have good conversations on important topics. People tend to admire you for your innovativeness. You make an exciting, though at times distant, companion.

Builder, 24%: Usually very popular. Deep attachment to home and family. Calm demeanor and low anxiety. Often consistent, loyal and protective.

Explorer, 27%: Known for high energy, high creativity and spontaneity. Seeks novelty, risk and pleasure. Intellectually curious and not easily swayed by opinion.

Negotiator, 23%: Excels at seeing the big picture, long-term planning and consensus building. An intuitive thinker who is flexible, verbal and socially skilled. Imaginative, empathetic and nurturing.

Director, 26%: Daring, original, direct and inventive. A non-conformist. Skilled at abstract thinking and short-term planning. Often assertive and quite competitive. Tough-minded and efficient.

Now, what on earth was that?

Shietmyx Rants

After of what seems like ages of endless connecting and reconnecting to Shietmyx, I gave up!! I just accepted whichever IP address they threw at me. I've known for sometime now, that certain IP address provide better speeds than others depending on the area. Been testing several IP adds now, and nothing seems to work within the range of 60.5X.X.X.

Damnit, been a loyal customer to them for over 5 years now, and this is how they repay with 'extra' gratitude *rants* I mean, what's up with 5.5 kb/s direct downloads? I really understand if they were capping torrents or other P2P clients, but come on! I remembered downloading at reasonable speeds even with the 512 kb/s package. Those were the days, being among the first few subscribers in my residential area. Despite having the 1024 kb/s package now, those speeds seemed impossible. I thought technology was supposed to move forward, speeding things up as they go. What on earth is happening?

On the other note, visited Sushi King again today for lunch with the sis and dad. Since Yeo Sr. tagged this time around, I didn't have to touch my wallet at all :D
Arigatou!

Sushi Madness

Right no thanks to a certain bookworm (kidding kidding..) It's time for an update.. Since I've missed a day, it is hence Project 364 and the numbers would decrease accordingly.

I've initially planned for a Sushi King dinner with my sister tonight, in conjunction with the RM2 Sushi King Card Bonanza. Personally, I didn't thought of it as much of a hype, but tonight I was proven otherwise. Reaching the Tesco Klang branch 7PM sharp, the normally deserted shop was filled to the brim. People were queuing as if the sushi were distributed free.

So we headed back home for a bowl of Korean noodles, didn't want to queue for so long. I bet by the time we get inside, all that's left are the near rotten sushi :|

I'm sorry for absence of a picture, was reluctant to go closer and snap the sushi-happy people :/

Memory and Speed

Bought a 8GB Memory Stick Micro (M2) Card few days ago during PC Fair for RM109.

It was all good until a few days later (literally a few minutes ago..), I found out the existence of this.

A 8GB Ultra High Speed Memory Stick Micro Card and its compatible with my toy! Ultra High Speed? That kinda data transfer speed exists? To add salt to the wound, I also found out that my toy is compatible with this.

A 16GB?! Man, and I thought I've already max'ed the available storage options. I was expecting it to be incompatible with my toy.

If that wasn't enough, to top it all up..

Was really thinking of a one time investment, but I really should have done more research. 4 years ago though, a 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo (High Speed) costs about as much my previous toy, the W800i. That was like bout RM1799 back then. So I previously felt great having the thought of maximizing the storage for my C905. Sigh.

The Projected State of Achievement

This is a goal. It's gonna be mine someday. Just wait.

Lol.. there's nothing wrong with dreaming, right?

For now I'll just have to settle down with this :(

Prodigal Expenditures

Right, just came back from KL not too long ago. Had fun the last 2 days, watched 2 movies and had a darn fine cuisine with Kim. Those haven't visited Bavarian Bierhaus @ The Curve should really get themselves tasting some of their exquisite German food. Price is not for the faint of heart. Fast and Furious 4 is not bad really, good plot and all, despite the fact that it's not all bout the rides anymore. 12 Rounds is plausible as well. Bought a pair of Nike training gloves for quite an awesome deal.

Drove to Setapak later on to teach Chua some stuffs before his papers (but most of the time ending up talkin' cock really..) Went PC Fair today with him and his gal. Been awhile since I really went for a shopping spree with him, despite the fact I'm the obvious 'lightbulb' :P They don't give a shit anyway. PC Fair this time around has lesser stuffs available, doesn't find the fair all too interesting. Bought a couple of stuffs after a few hours of surveying and eye-cleansing (y'know what I mean :D).

Which is actually sad to notice that I've been spending quite a lot this month :( Truly a profligate. I guess that's it for now, going for a late supper with Chen Hau. G'nite folks.

Resurrection

Immaaaa bekz.

So it has been quite awhile since I've last posted a single thing. I hardly believe the last post was about me learning driving. Been 3 years since then.

Went on and changed the layout :P and I've noticed Andrew's blog got taken over by some chick or something like that. Will update all the links soon.

Alright, so a few updates. I've sorta completed Advanced Diploma, and proceeding for a degree conversion program in Sheffield early June. Uncertain on whether to proceed with a postgraduate degree or not, it's a great dilemma.

Got myself a new toy recently :D for those really curious on what it does, click on it. Supposed to get myself a Nokia 5800XM, but the toy's 8.1 MP is just too hard to resist.

Image stolen from http://yeekit.blogspot.com/

An overall great gadget to have. Do expect decent pictures from now onwards :D

Would be looking forward to publish a new entry every now and then, but for now I just have to start studying some of the Engineering Council papers I'd be taking this coming May. I've been procrastinating for waaaaaay too long :/ Later.

Drivin'

So.. havin my semester break again, marks the end of my fourth semester. Did an 'okay' for the papers. Went sunway lagoon soon the day after the exam ended, pics uploaded at friendster :P Anyways, back to my borin' lifestyle in Klang (yum cha sessions, cyber-cafes, any sorta pc games etc...).. except! i finally get to learn drivin, for my 'P' license (got my L last two sem breaks). So i went few hours of trainin during last few weeks, and after 8 hours of lessons, today i finally went to the main driving centre somewhere in Kapar for what i assume would the last practice for those 3 stuffs (hill, 3-pointer, reverse/parallel parking) apart from driving at the highway. So i suppose i got the hang of it after almost 2 hours of 'intense' training (dude, the wheather was blazin' hot!) and im scheduled for a full highway lesson 8.30am tomorrow *sigh*. So back to the lessons i had today, during the hill or what you peeps might know as 'bukit', i saw something which somehow amuses me (being nub and all..) this damn lorry was doing the hill thing as well. So i went :woot: :lmfao: .. i didnt knew such thing could climb such slope. And so i took out my phone, and snapped the moment the damn lorry "reversed" backwards   :P out of the driver's noob'ness.

oh yup, the instructor then told me the pra-ujian [QTI], (don't ask me what on earth it stands for) would be on next tuesday, and i was like "oh boleh-boleh" and then he went "Ujian JPJ pada Isnin dua minggu akan datang".. in disbelief, i asked like a fool.. "16 haribulan ker?" After he nodded his head, the horror strucked my sorry ass. That's the date my fifth semester's gonna start. Fated? I dont know, but im very sure i cant miss the first day out of all days during a semester. Ill figure somethin out..somehow. Damn it.

Something to ponder over.. ;p

Women and men

Women are like apples on trees.
The best ones are at the top of the tree.
Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt.

Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy.......
So the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come
along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

Share this with other women who are good apples,
even those who have already been picked!

And remember.................. Men are like a fine wine.
They start out as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the shit out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

Update

Right, been awhile since I posted anything. Been busy lately, although it's actually my semester break right now. I'm somehow in charge of welcoming the new freshmen into my course during the mass call. Preparing an orientation booklet ain't easy, making a new society t-shirt is another matter. To add up the spice, not many of the committee members are that committed anyway. Throughout the last semester, which is the third.. was hardly in any mood to post anything. I had to sit for 3 maths paper one shot, all because of my ignorance on that particular subject during my first two semesters..making me fail the first two maths papers =/ So somehow i could cope up with those, HOPEFULLY i could pass all of em before going into the second year.. *fingers crossed*. Nothing much i guess, had a few hangouts with old friends, bought a new bag(woohoo), an external harddisk during the last PC fair, few *ehempiratedehem* softwares(Autodesk AutoCAD 2007, Visual Studio 2005). Added and updated a few links on this page today, so check 'em out =P I'll have to make an early return to the college the day after tomorrow, gotta attend some kinda early rehersals for the orientation day, which falls on 22nd. I seriously gotta take a break after all of these.. >=)

Error #31

PC broke down yesterday, freakin operating system failed to load o.O repairing the OS doesn't work, so the only freakin solution? reformatting the damn harddisk =( thus, my collections of anime, games, installation files and all sort of documents went -blank- So some of you might say, doesn't matter, he could always redownload everything back.. but that's the problem now, I couldnt. Freakin streamyx's doing something to the ports that are used by torrents, from what I've read from lowyat.net and I'm not even sure if my firewall is the real culprit. I already forwarded the ports, but nothing.. NOTHING seems to work, at all! I even tried different BT clients.. same shit. So I eventually gave up, everything's downloading at 1-5kb/s now, damnit. Dattebayo released a speedsub of Bleach Epi. 70 earlier today, which I normally could download at speeds above 50kb/s at least, is going at mere 9kb/s, which Im already pretty much grateful. /rant

The Last Episode of Doraemon

Dedicated to all the fans of Doraemon, including myself (I just seriously missed it ya know?) - As you know, Doraemon is an inspirational story with no ending, but
this small story is about the "last episode" of the famous cartoon.
Someone made this story and uploaded it to his homepage, and it is now widely spread all around Japan through the internet. Here it goes;

One day, a very normal day, Nobita came back from school and went upstairs of his house. Doraemon was there sleeping, just like the other normal day. "Hey, Doraemon, please wake up, let’s play!” but Doraemon does not wake up.

Nobita thought that Doraemon is tired, so he went out to play with Shizuka-chan and other folks. After few hours, he returned to his home, but Doraemon was still sleeping. Nobita felt something strange, and tried to wake him up. But there was no reply. He became to feel afraid, and tried to wake him up, but whatever he does, Doraemon did not wake up. Nobita knew exactly that something was different. This never happened before. He began crying, but though he screamed or cried, the famous fat-cat-robot did not make a single move at all.
He came up to one idea, and jumped into his desk -the time machine- and went to the future to meet Dorami-chan, Doraemon's sister. He begged her for help, and forced her to go with him back to 1998.

After a short trip again back to 1998 by the time machine, Dorami-chan looked all over his brother Doraemon to see what was wrong with him.
After few minutes, she said "the battery is out"
Nobita was relieved, and said, "battery? so he is not broken right? Please replace or recharge his battery, and put him back like before"
But Dorami-chan shook her head and said, "Nobita-san, should I really do that?"
Nobita said "what? What do you mean?"
Dorami-chan replied; "His main battery is here, close to his pocket. And it ran out. But originally, he had a back-up battery in his ears, but as you know, his ears were eaten by a rat very many years ago, so he does not have a back-up battery now"
"So what do you mean?"
"I mean, if I replace his battery, every memory of you will be eternally lost from his brain program"
"WHAT?????"
"Shall I do that?"

Nobita closed his eyes. He cried, but after few minutes, he stopped crying, and quietly told Dorami-chan;

"Dorami-chan, thanks for coming here. I will take care of the rest. You have to go back to your future time now"

Dorami-chan could not decide what to do, but anyway she hugged Nobita quietly, and she went back home. After she went back, Nobita carried Doraemon and placed him into the shelf.

.........TIME FLIES..........

Year 2010, Nobita grew up. Since that day, he changed. He studied hard, did not cry anymore and he lived without Doraemon. He told Shizuka and other folks that Doraemon had to go back to his future, and could not meet him anymore. Shizuka was impressed to Nobita's mysterious appearance which became completely different from 10years ago. They fell in love, and married. Nobita became a scientist. He made a laboratory in his room, and was studying hard with his job all day. He told Shizuka not to come into the room, as it is very dangerous inside. But one day, he called Shizuka and told her to come in to his room. It was the first time for her to enter his husband's room. The moment she went in, she lost her words ......There was her friend Doraemon, who she used to play in her childhood days. Doraemon was not moving. It seemed as he was sleeping.

"Look, Shizuka, I will plug in from now"

Nobita turned on the main switch on Doraemon. Doraemon quietly, very quietly started to open his eyes. It was the moment the inventor of Doraemon became clear. It was Nobita. He studied hard and hard jus t to meet and talk with his old friend again. Going back and forth of time, Nobita was the one who made Doraemon. He discovered all the programs and architecture of Doraemon-type-robot. Nobita and Shizuka were crying gently. Doraemon opened his eyes. He looked around, and finally said, "Nobita-kun, did you finish your homework?"

There were the same white clouds in the sky like the times they used to spend together.

Error #28

Jerry is the manager of a restaurant. He is always in a good mood. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would always reply: "If I were any better, I would be twins!"

Many of the waiters at this restaurant quit their jobs when he changed jobs, so they could follow him around from restaurant to restaurant.

Why? Because Jerry was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, Jerry was always there, telling him/she how to look on the positive side of the situation.

Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up to Jerry and asked him: "I don't get it! No one can be a positive person all of the time. how do you do it?"

Jerry replied, "Each morning I wake up & say to myself, I have two choices today. I can choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. I always choose to be in a good mood. Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be victim or learn from it. Everytime, someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life."

"But it's not always that easy, " I protested.

"Yes, it is." Jerry said.

"Life is all about chooices. When you cut away all the junk every situation is a choice you choose how you react situations, you choose how people will affect your mood, you choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. It's your choice how you live your life."

Several years later, I heard that Jerry accidentally did something he never supposed to do in the restaurant business. He left the back door of his restaurant open and then he was robbed by three armed man. While Jerry trying to open the safe box, his hand shaking from nervousness, slipped off the combination.

The robbers panicked and shot him. Luckily, Jerry was found quickly and rushed to hospital. After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, Jerry was released from hospital with fragments of the bullets still in his body.

I saw Jerry about six months after the accident.

When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins. Want to see my scars?"

I declined to see this wounds, but did ask him what had gone through his mind as the robbery took place.

"The first thing that went through my mind was that I should have locked the back door," Jerry replied.

"Then, after they shot me as I lay on the floor, I remembered that I had two choices, I could choose to live or could choose to die. I choose to live."

"Weren't you scared?" I asked

Jerry continued, "The paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the emergency room and I saw the expression on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read 'He's a dead man'/ I knew I needed to take action."

"What did you do?" I asked

"Well, there was a nurse shouting question at me," said Jerry.

"She ask if I was allergic to anything."

"Yes, to bullets," I replied.

over their laughter, I told them:"I'm choosing to live. Please operate on me asif I'm alive, not dead."

Jerry lived thanks to the skills of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude.

I learned from him that every day, youhave the choice to either enjoy your life or to hate it.

the only thing that is truly yours~ that no one can control of that, everything else in life becomes much easier.

Handed an assignment today, been busy with that for days o_O one burden less,..but anyway, received another assignment today for Engineering Science II. It was a group based one, 10 students per group, 10 questions to answer. Just somehow I've got a random feeling that I'll have to do all of them alone, as routine goes...unless I could form a group of those hardworking ones. Time to seek group members folks, wish me luck. Ill definetely need some of those. Slept only two hours yesterday, so it's time to go. The fact of being sick and suffering lack of sleep at the same time is not a good thing at all, see you sailors around. Signing out fer now.

Tao gave me a link to this today o_O

Tongue-eating bug found in fish
The bug inside the fish
A gross creature which gobbles up a fish's tongue and then replaces it with its own body has been found in Britain for the first time.

The bug - which has the scientific name cymothoa exigua - was discovered inside the mouth of a red snapper bought from a London fishmonger.

The 3.5cm creature had grabbed onto the fish's tongue and slowly ate away at it until only a stub was left.

It then latched onto the stub and became the fish's "replacement tongue".

Excited

Scientists are very excited by the find.

Dr Jim Brock of the Horniman Museum in south London told Metro newspaper: "I have not seen this species in all my 13 years at the museum so it's a remarkable find."

What the bug looks like

The bugs are usually found off the coast of California, so it's possible the fish was imported to the UK.

Freaked out

But don't be too freaked out - scientists say the creature does not pose any threat to humans and only attaches itself to fish tongues.

Ouch, just woke up.. realised I couldn't make it to Muhsin's house ;p well, i'm sick too anyway, and sorta lazy o_o when I noticed a bunch of them couldn't make it as well. GHH's assignment was sorta abandoned last night, went and watch a korean movie, My Sassy Girl on my lappie, it was darn hilarious and good. It was an old movie i know, but still :P So.. yeah, I shouldnt hang out in the net too much anymore, gotta finish up this assignment before tomorrow, since they're prolly going for another movie after the last class tomorrow. So, yeah, signing out for now.
