Live the Love

LOVE STORY (Taylor Swift) meets VIVA LA VIDA (Coldplay) - Piano Cello - by Jon Schmidt

This an awesome piano cello cover of Taylor Swift's Love Story and Coldplay's Viva la Vida. This arrangement was dedicated by an unsigned recording artist and composer, Jon Schmidt to his 7 year old daughter Sarah. His great friend Steven Sharp Nelson plays the cello. According to him, the existence of a common rhythm element between the tunes enables the uncanny integration to occur. An absolutely great piece in my opinion.

Also, the MP3 download will be available from his site (http://www.jonschmidt.com) in a couple of weeks :) For those unable to wait, here is a download link. Full credit goes to the uploader.

P.S. Though it is hardly a rendition of my own, I'm dedicating this amazing tune to my mum. Words alone is unable to capture how much you mean to me. Happy Mother's Day ma!

The Massacre

I've been real lazy lately. Do pardon my ignorance :P

Not in a good mood at all today. After a month and 6 days, my C905 finally succumbed to the infamous earpiece problem. Couldn't listen to any sound nor voice from an incoming call earlier this morning. Sigh, was slightly excited for a moment there thinking that my toy developed a noise-cancellation ability. Apparently not. 30 seconds later I knew these 2 pieces got busted.

* bows head for a minute of silence *

I've already known this is an uncommon problem among earlier batches of this model, notably those produced prior to the Week 48 of 2008. Heck, mine's from an 09 production batch!

* . . . *

Alright, before being blamed for blatantly purchasing a toy with a history of known illnesses, I seriously took the effort of reading various forums and reviews okay?! In addition to that, I've also spent time watching streaming video reviews. (time that should very well be used for studying EC *guilty*)

Handed the toy to the service center in The Gardens, third floor. According to the salesperson in-charge, it'll take them at least a week to repair. It's not as if I'm complaining at all the repair is gonna be free due to the warranty. I just hate the fact that my precious is gonna be massacred.

* Tries hard to neglect thoughts of particle entrapment within the screen *

Sigh. Oh well, it looks like it's a vacation for two with my long abandoned W800i. On a side note, probably it's a blessing in disguise. Couldn't imagine this shit happens during my time in UK. I'd be helpless with my Malaysian warranty.

A Plus?!

The announcement of the new Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-shot Plus edition shouldn’t be left out of the field. According to Sony Ericsson’s UK site the C905 Plus comes bundled with a 8GB M2 card. It has also got some new features, such as, the Smile Shutter and YouTube integration, but these are available for the C905 through software update and C905 sold after March 09 anyway.

The bottom line is that if you have a C905 in your pocket already, the new version has very little to offer to you indeed. Then again, if you still haven’t got one, but you chomping at the bit to join the Sony Ericsson´s family :D , the Plus edition looks like a decent option.

On a side thought, man, what's up with C905 Plus? It's even bundled with a 8GB M2 Memory Card :( Why not just bundled it along the first time around?

Of Explorations and Directions

Ordered a new pair of secondary spectacles today :D Would post a picture once it's ready.

Took a personality today out of boredom.

You are an EXPLORER / director

You are a skywalker. You love adventure, both intellectual and physical. And you greet new challenges with passion and bravery.

When you get interested in a project, you can become extremely focused on it, sometimes to the exclusion of all around you. You complete it carefully and thoroughly, often with great originality.

And because you have a lot of energy and tend to be enthusiastic about your ideas, inventions, and projects, you can be very persuasive.

You tend to like to collect things, experiences or ideas. And you are eager to make an impact on those around you, as well as the wider world.

Although you enjoy people and can be charming and humorous, you are not very interested in routine social engagements or boring people. You are comfortable being by yourself, pursuing your own interests.

People probably call you a non-conformist, an original. You like to have good conversations on important topics. People tend to admire you for your innovativeness. You make an exciting, though at times distant, companion.

Now, what on earth was that?

Shietmyx Rants

After of what seems like ages of endless connecting and reconnecting to Shietmyx, I gave up!! I just accepted whichever IP address they threw at me. I've known for sometime now, that certain IP address provide better speeds than others depending on the area. Been testing several IP adds now, and nothing seems to work within the range of 60.5X.X.X.

Damnit, been a loyal customer to them for over 5 years now, and this is how they repay with 'extra' gratitude *rants* I mean, what's up with 5.5 kb/s direct downloads? I really understand if they were capping torrents or other P2P clients, but come on! I remembered downloading at reasonable speeds even with the 512 kb/s package. Those were the days, being among the first few subscribers in my residential area. Despite having the 1024 kb/s package now, those speeds seemed impossible. I thought technology was supposed to move forward, speeding things up as they go. What on earth is happening?

On the other note, visited Sushi King again today for lunch with the sis and dad. Since Yeo Sr. tagged this time around, I didn't have to touch my wallet at all :D
Arigatou!

Sushi Madness

Right no thanks to a certain bookworm (kidding kidding..) It's time for an update.. Since I've missed a day, it is hence Project 364 and the numbers would decrease accordingly.

I've initially planned for a Sushi King dinner with my sister tonight, in conjunction with the RM2 Sushi King Card Bonanza. Personally, I didn't thought of it as much of a hype, but tonight I was proven otherwise. Reaching the Tesco Klang branch 7PM sharp, the normally deserted shop was filled to the brim. People were queuing as if the sushi were distributed free.

So we headed back home for a bowl of Korean noodles, didn't want to queue for so long. I bet by the time we get inside, all that's left are the near rotten sushi :|

I'm sorry for absence of a picture, was reluctant to go closer and snap the sushi-happy people :/
